Online Registration and Fundraising Tips for participants!
Our team name: SHARE Atlanta (For people who want to walk with SHARE Atlanta, SA)
Register and Fundraise online by going to www.marchforbabies.org/
Previous online registrants do the following:
1) Log on using last year’s username and password. Forgot either one? Enter last year’s e-mail address and they will be e-mailed to you
2) If you changed your e-mail address or job location, click on icon and e-mail the MODS help desk at
MODS help desk or call (888) 274-3711
New to online fundraising this year? Do the following:
3) Go to www.marchforbabies.org/
4) Click “JOIN A TEAM”
5) Type “SHARE Atlanta” into the search box
6) Click on “SHARE Atlanta”- be sure you are registered for the Downtown Atlanta walk, which will appear on your personal page. You can walk ANYWHERE in the US, but must register for Downtown Atlanta to have your fundraising go to SA’s efforts.
7) Sign Up by filling out your personal profile!
You are done! Your personal page has been created for you and you are ready to begin fundraising. You can edit your personal page at any time.
E-mail family, friends, and colleagues by entering your e-mail addresses into the March of Dimes system or copy your URL link into your own e-mail and send to your contacts from there. This can help you raise more money. The main reason why people do not donate is that no one asked them to give (don’t be shy)!
Print your sponsor form (click on the index tab that says printer friendly version) and give to team captain or bring to Bank Day or March for Babies Day. This form will show all online donations and those contributions that are pending (cash and checks not yet received).
In addition to e-mails, continue making phone calls and connecting with friends and colleagues.
Your team has a team page! On your personal page underneath your name, there is a line that says team: your team name. Click on your team name and you will be able to see the other members of your team, visit their webpage and read their story.
Other Options...
Walk on Different Day or Closer to Home:There are many walk sites. Other venues have different days or times. Register for April 25 DOWNTOWN Atlanta and walk when and where you wish. Options shown on the MODS' site. You can still raise the funds or sponsor someone who is walking.
Walking is not an option for you..: Raise money online and Come help us with our TENT! OR Sponsor someone elses' walk. Or come and cheer others on!
5.2 miles sounds like a long walk? It is a slow & easy walk. It is dotted with stations of food, beverages and cheerers!! A MODS' VAN can give you a lift back to the park.
Your OWN Team and Sponsors Raising Funds for SHARE Atlanta’s Team: See our SHARE Atlanta 2009 March for Babies Registration pdf. You can walk as your own Team and still roll your funds into SA's Team. If you are downtown, come be a part of SA TENT and Memory Corner, and walk with your team.
