Possible Genectic Problems, Congenital Problems, Syndromes, Infections...

He had to leave, he could not stay.
Our precious son was taken away without warning.
So many unanswered questions...
...why did this have to happen?
A fluke of nature we were told...
...an unfortunate circumstance.

The known number of children who have specific chromosome 16 disorders is small. However, the number of miscarriages due to these disorders is large and mosaic trisomy 16 may be a relatively common cause of poor fetal growth.

    Conceived Out of Love

    He came into our lives
if only for a short while
but touched us with a promise
    for a bright tomorrow.

    The excitement and joy
for our child conceived out of love
    our hopes and dreams
were spread throughout the short time
    he was here with us.

But the wishes and the plans
started to vanish before our eyes
We were not prepared to hear that he would never come to be
He had to leave, he could not stay.
Our precious son was taken away
    without warning.

    So many unanswered questions...
...why did this have to happen?
A fluke of nature we were told...
    ...an unfortunate circumstance.

Some tell us time will heal
but time can never heal this wound.
Some tell us we'll have another
but we wanted him - he can never be replaced

We hear words saying "your next child will be normal",
Our son was normal, his condition was not.
But it's time to let go now,
A feat that cannot easily be done.

    We have hopes for tomorrow
and search for the strength to go on.
We have each other for support...
...our love will carry us through.

We only ask that you treat him as our son,
he may have only been with us for a short while
but he is still our son.
He has touched our lives and each and every one of you,
Please always remember our precious son...
