A Special Remembrance

It has been 15 years and I don't know why the sadness is especially hard this year. You left my life so abruptly and I carried this pain and ache for a long time. But, you know what, with the help of God and his hand reaching into my soul and speaking to my heart, I was able to find an inner peace. He told me, through your words, "Mommy I am not sad. I walk with the angels everyday. I don't want you to be sad and God does not want you to feel sad anymore. I love you."

Never have I felt so empty and so lost,
I yearned for your touch at whatever the cost.

But God had taken you to heaven to stay,

My Darling Christian,

I had so many hopes and dreams for you, but they would never be. I only got to carry you for 14 1/2 short weeks, but I will forever carry you in my heart. I will never forget holding you in the palm of my hand, I'll forever cherish your blanket that they brought you to us in. You were so tiny, only 51grams (almost 2oz.) and 3 inches long. Yet you were perfect.

Your daddy and I dreamed of haveing a son, those dreams have now been met, but we just don't get to be with you yet. You had to go before us, in heaven now you wait, So when its our turn my darling wait for us by the gate. Well get to hold you again then but this time it will be forever. I will always love you. I hate it that I cannot play with you, or hold you and kiss you and smell that sweet baby smell. It is not fair, and I cannot understand it. You be a sweet baby girl, there is a lot of love surrounding you. I don't hold you at fault at all, I just wish you were here. I love you little one.
