"Sharing" Our Stories/Thoughts - Along this Path

Our Grief Support Forum Moderator's Stories and How SA helped them heal.. ~ Crystal

Crystal's Subsequent Pregnancy Diary - Crystal has lost 6 babies. Her stories are at this link as is a picture and story of her pregnancy with Hope..her miracle baby.

Here are the reasons why I now volunteer in SHARE Atlanta

SA Information in a folder from hospital..not looked at immediately...but there when needed.

After losing my sweet son at 23weeks, 6 days, I was in shock and numb with grief. I had been given a folder about loss and decided one night to FINALLY look in it. Little did I know that the answer to my prayers for help was waiting inside...

There in the pocket of this folder was a pamphlet
for an online group that met in real life as well!

I went to the SHARE Atlanta website and found the most beautiful people, all with stories similar to mine. I had found a place to grieve and help me heal.

SA members understand...no plateaus..no judging or expectations EXCEPT for gradual healing...

My experiences with loss are multiple and I wondered if I would be given the same standard answers to my questions: Oh, it was just meant to be... Do not question God's plan... At least you know you can get pregnant...

I was very surprised when within a day or so of my writing to Marcia, I had the sweetest reply waiting in my Inbox. I had found someone who TRULY understood. Within a few months I was writing to many different women, talking to them over the phone, receiving letters and cards, and feeling as if God sent me to that website for a purpose.

When I lost faith, it was SHARE Atlanta moms who helped me to understand that was okay. When I got pregnant again only 6 months after losing my son, it was SHARE Atlanta moms who kept me sane. When I miscarried again last year, it was SHARE Atlanta moms who pulled me through. It is SHARE Atlanta moms who help me keep a tight grip on my reality with my son's birthday/death date coming up while dealing with my almost 2 year old and being pregnant for the final time.

GOD BLESS SHARE Atlanta and the person who slipped the black and white pamphlet into the grief folder of a mourning mother!
