Marchers are Important.. Being a TOP TEN FAMILY TEAM is important...

More SA marchers mean a better opportunity for SA to have a Downtown Chairman's Club TOP TEN TENT to support grieving parents next year. It also means getting to the National March of Dimes' Volunteer Convention to share about what the Pregnancy and Newborn Loss Community's issues and needs are. Raising $200.s or more as a walker or giving $10 or more to as a sponsor...will make a difference. We help SA's cause as well as MODS' efforts by walking or contributing to the cause.

Sponsors are important: Give in your baby's name...$10 to $15.00 can make a difference!

If you do not wish to walk, giving in memory of your baby, will help our cause. Please send us your baby's name and we will include him/her on our Memorial Litany. Even $10 to $15. can make a difference. If everyone would be a sponsor, it all would add up. Please consider doing this.

Cindy and I will be at the Downtown Atlanta location for the April 26, 2008 event BUT (see attached) there are 25 different walk sites in Georgia and you could DEFINITELY do one that is closer to your home, if you prefer. The only thing that we ask is when you sign up, list the Downtown Atlanta site as your walk site, then do the walk at which ever location you choose. March of Dimes counts on SHARE Atlanta's donations coming into the "Downtown" walk site so that is why they want our whole team's money listed under the one location.

Your own Family Team under SA's umbrella...

That means you can walk under your own Team name (Baby Sarah, Team Hope) or SHARE Atlanta Team...near your home, but include the donations to SHARE Atlanta.

SHARE Atlanta's MODS' *Downtown* Chairman's Club Top Ten TENT makes a difference for Grieving Parents...

Several of us stay IN the the SA TENT during the march to support bereaved parents who happen by. Many do, and we offer them support and information. For some, it is the first time - ever - in *years* that their child is recognized. They write their baby's name on a heart for our Memory Corner and we give them a blanket or memento. Hugs are shared and positive outreach happens.

We can ONLY have a TENT with enough donations to be a TOP TEN FAMILY TEAM...which means around $35,000 to $40,000s...this amount grows each year. That means more people are contributing to ALL teams. That is good news, but it means a higher challenge to us to stay in the TOP TEN FAMILY TEAMS!

When we go to the luncheon to receive our Top Ten *Downtown* Chairman's Club award, we are there with representatives from:

MODS' National Volunteer's Convention: TOP TEN Family Teams: Need to raise over $35,000.

This amount needs to be raised as well for us to attend the MODS' National Volunteer's Convention were we are recognized yet again for who we are and what we do. The last two years we have attended this convention. We are bringing with us the Pregnancy and Newborn Loss Grief issues and needs. Medical professionals, caregivers, people from all over the US attend this huge meeting. With around 600 in the audience our information is shared in a brief video. We stand out and are finally letting society hear from us. We are NOT a secret...we are real and have valid issues and needs. Help us do this again in 2008!

Family and Friends...

Encourage your friends and family to have SA's Annual March for Babies as one of their focused charities. Many say they gave during the year to MODS...suggest they save it for our walk so we can support grieving parents as well as help future families have healthy babies!! It will make a huge difference for lots of people!

March for BABIES..

The March of Dimes supports all of our issues in their premature and birth defects research. Many of the same issues that cause prematurity cause stillbirth and miscarriages. Birth defects cause stillbirth and miscarriage. Please consider supporting the MODS. Sincerely, Marcia McGinnis 2.08
